Port of Miami, Parking during your Cruise

If you are driving to the Port of Miami in Florida and need to park your vehicle, there are several options available to you.

If you are staying at a hotel pre-cruise, many offer the benefit of leaving your car there for the week and most offer a free shuttle to take you to the Port. It is always best to check the hotel web sites and see which ones offer this feature, which is a huge added value for guests.

If your cruise is departing from the Port of Miami, you do have the option of parking in the Port’s parking garage right on the property for the duration. The rates for Overnight Parking: $20 per day and for payment, they accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or any major U.S. Traveler’s Check. No debit cards are accepted.

You can get more information directly on the Port of Miami’s web site or by calling Port of Miami Cruise Operations or Port Security at 305-347-4800. No reservation is necessary. You just drive in, take the ticket and make sure you pay at one of the pay terminals before you get in your vehicle to drive out of the gate.

Port of Miami is a very large port and depending on which terminal your Ship leaves from, you will be directed to the closes onsite parking garage. There are shuttles that run in front of them that can take you from the garages to the Ship terminals, if you feel it’s too far to walk. You just have to patiently wait for it to make the circular route which can take 15-20 minutes. If you have people who have mobility issues in your group, another option is to drop them off right in front of the correct terminal, and then park your vehicle.

Another option would be to park at one of the many another parking garage’s and take a shuttle to and from the park. You have to check and see if they offer a free shuttle and ensure there are ‘no additional costs’.

The closest parking garage is Premiere Parking ventures which is less than 1 mile from the Port of Miami and their rates are $7.50 per day and it takes less than 5 minutes to drive to the Port and drop you off. They can be reached by calling their reservation center at 877-809-3009. or by their reservation website.

The most affordable option for parking is a garage located 2-3 blocks from the port and is through The Port of Miami Cruise Parking, as their listed price is $4.50 USD per day and come with the guarantee that they will beat any competitor pricing. They are the closest off-site parking lot to the Port Of Miami and are within walking distance. They also have a shuttle and taxi service to and from the port of Miami available on a 24-hour basis or on demand as it is operated by independent operator that charges $5.00 each way per person (prices are subject to change) compared to some of the other shuttle companies charge up to $15.00 per person each way. Taxi service between this garage and the port normally runs $8-$13 USD. Upon your return when the ship docks, you can call for the shuttle at 305-790-0450 or hail a taxi from the long line of them that will be waiting for passengers. If you don’t want to make the reservation on-line, you can call to at 800-564-5108.
