7 Cruise Ship Diet Busters…and What to Eat Instead

When people take cruise vacations, the amazing food that is offered is as much of a concern as it is a blessing, to those of us who have to watch ourselves constantly. You CAN indulge in eating whatever you wish, as long as you practice portion control AND make sure you exercise every single day.

Make sure to visit the gym, as they normally have amazing sea views, and use one of the many treadmills or bikes. Use the outdoor track in the early morning and get in your 5k walk as the ship is sailing towards a new Caribbean destination, before you even start the day! After dinner, go for a stroll, take the stairs and go to the Disco and dance for an hour.

Remember a vacation is not an excuse to eat like a 15 year old boy going through a growth spurt, though it is incredibly tempting. Make smart choices, indulge wisely and don’t stress if you do fall into the dessert buffet and walk away with a platter of treats. You can always start over the next day by doing a rise and shine yoga class. Healthy options are there for you. You just have to make the choice.
